Who was the first QB for the Houston Texans?

David Carr was the first QB of the Houston Texans; he played 5 years (2002-2006) with the team before being released.

Carr, drafted first overall pick in the 2002 out of Fresno, lost his job in Houston to Matt Schaub, the current QB of the Texans

After leaving Houston, the Carolina Panthers signed him to replace an injured Jake Delhomme. Since losing his job for the Texans, Carr has played backup roles in Carolina, for the NY Giants, as well as the San Francisco 49ers
