How to get rid of algae in an irrigation system?

The usual methods of controlling algae in irrigation are copper sulphate, chlorine and other chemicals; another option is to manually remove the algae from the reservoirs.

Using chemicals may harm the environment; in addition, may be harmful for the crops irrigated.

Another way is to use technology; ultrasound techniques inhibit the growth of algae and prevent the growth of unwanted fungi in water reservoirs.
