What is a Private Organization?

A private foundation is a legal entity set up by an individual or a family/group of individuals; the purpose of a private foundation, the creators' goal, is normally to increase the well-being of humankind. However, unlike a charitable foundation, a private foundation does not generally solicit funds from the public.
